The Science Behind Phytoceramides

Do They Really Work?

What's The Science Behind Phytoceramides?

Doctor Formulation

Phytoceramides have become popular thanks to their anti-aging benefits and substantial clinical data to back up such claims. It is now one of the biggest health supplements in the country.

Phytoceramides have been shown to reverse the signs of aging by replacing the ceramides our skin loses as we age. However, applying ceramides directly to the skin in the form of creams is not nearly as effective as taking a supplement (that works from the inside out), as they are not able to reach the deepest layers of the skin. Therefore, we must obtain them through food and supplement intake. So when a product comes along that will help you achieve your anti-aging goals, then it makes sense to enjoy the benefits it provides.

Observed Benefits Of Phytoceramides

  • Fights signs of aging*
  • Reduces fine lines and wrinkles*
  • Retains skin moisture*
  • Repairs skin damage*

However, not all Phytoceramide products can produce these impressive results and help you reach your anti-aging goals. Make sure to choose a premium-quality product with 100% natural, scientifically-proven ingredients that is manufactured according to the highest modern standards.

An often reviewed study on the effects of Phytoceramides for reducing the signs of aging was published in The International Journal of Cosmetic Science. The clinical trial was a randomized, double blind, placebo controlled human study conducted on women between the ages of 20 and 63. The study included 51 participants randomly divided into 2 groups, one receiving Phytoceramides and the other, a placebo group. Each of the participants had dry to very dry skin.

After 12 weeks, the group taking the Phytoceramides were found to have a significant increase in skin hydration and an improvement in itching, redness, and roughness. For a full review of that clinical study please Click Here.

At the conclusion of the study, tests determined that 350mg of Phytoceramides had a positive effect on the skin and increased skin hydration levels.*
